ACA SET THE TREND
On October 2006, the Colegio Marianista summoned the Club to deliver a course about road education, within the framework of the programme “Education for life”. Later on, the Colegio Champagnat would join the project. The project. A team work of qualified experts from the Club started teaching theoretical courses in the school to students from 5th year, candidates to get the driving license. The course has a doble objective. On the one hand, it offers the students the required training to FACE the theoretical exam, one of the requirements to obtain the license. On the other, young people get involved in the importance of road education to live in society. The characteristics. The professionals devote 6 teaching hours at school, for 3 days. Once they finish, a theoretical test is given. The content of the talk is similar to the one provided by the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to the license candidates. The theoretical classes end with a visit to the driving school Juan Manuel Fangio of the ACA. The Awards. The student with the best average of each course will receive an award: a practical driving course in the ACA Driving School, filling in with it the requirements to take the driving exam. The other approved students may take the same practical course with a 20% discount. And the major award: All students approved become members of the Club, free of charge, during 6 months. After these six months if they still want to belong to the Club, they can register paying a lower fee since they qualify in the Young member category. The results. The experience achieved in Marianista and Champagnat Schools was a success. The students replied to the proposal with great enthusiasm, which was reflected in an impressive amount of successful students.
